Photographer Joe Connolly (Click Here to view portfolio highlights) has captured the wedding memories of hundreds of couples over the years. He has photographed weddings all over the United States, Canada and Europe. Originally from Michigan, Joe moved to Anchorage to pursue his passion for the outdoors and photography. If you don't see him behind the camera, you might find him on his mountain bike, telemark skis, or hiking along one of the area's trails. He has an energy around him that is relaxing and fun, and you can see it in the way his couples are truly themselves in front of his camera. He learned his craft through some of the best wedding photographers in Michigan and combined the best of what he saw from them with creativity of his own to fashion a very unique style. You can be sure that each wedding he shoots is as unique as the couples themselves. Joe’s clients are consistently impressed with his work and the amount of word-of-mouth referrals that he gets is a testament to that. See the Testimonials page for comments recent clients have made about Joe. Also see the Photo Gallery to see a handful of the recent weddings Joe has photographed. Photographer Nicholas Gillespie (Click Here to view portfolio highlights) recently moved to Alaska after traveling the world with his wife taking photos and exploring different cultures. Nick's photography background began at an early age, and grew further after moving to Europe for a few years where he met his wife and honed his creative and technical photographic skills. His refreshing and candid view of the interactions among people, combined with his original and creative lighting techniques provide his clients with a rare opportunity to have their day documented in such an honest and uncompromised way. In his own words, "Over the past 15 years of taking pictures I have had many cameras and many subjects. The only thing that hasn't changed is my intent. Something I learned quite early in life is that a good picture isn't just one that was taken at just the right moment or just the right angle. A good picture is one that draws you into the picture by capturing the emotion of the situation." Nicholas met Joe in 2003 when he hired him to shoot his wedding in Austria and Germany and the two have been friends ever since. In addition to photography, Nicholas enjoys mountaineering, cross country skiing, bicycle touring, and relaxing with a good book. Photographer Dan Anderson (Click Here to view portfolio highlights) is a lifelong Alaskan who watched the state grow up through the lens of a camera. Dan became interested in photography at an early age and began pursuing it further while attending Chugiak High School. He has progressively moved up through the ranks as one of the most in-demand photographers in the area. He describes his style as "Modern Progressive" and has studied lighting techniques with some of the most renowned lighting masters of the world. Joe met Dan shortly after moving to Alaska and their collaborative efforts on a number of projects transpired into a natural friendship that eventually led to Dan joining the Chugach Peaks team of photographers. When not shooting, Dan enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife, four wheeling, snow machining, and working on his classic 1965 Ford Mustang. |
