Margot and Steven had a small Alaska destination wedding this summer along the shores of Kenai Lake. They flew up from Chicago with a few of their close family and friends. Steven had been to Alaska a few times prior and fell in love with the mountains, forests and glaciers. He stumbled on Kenai Lake by chance and knew it was the place for them to be married. After the ceremony, we did some photos at the lake and began our drive back towards Girdwood. We stopped along the way for a picnic lunch at Turnagain Pass – which was pretty cool. We hadn’t done anything like that before, and it was a great break. After lunch, we did some photos in the wildflower meadows of the pass area, and continued on our way to Girdwood. A few stops around Girdwood and off to the Alyeska Resort for a tram ride to the top of the mountain where they ended the day with dinner at Seven Glaciers.
