I know the title of this blog is a bit redundant; however, there is a reason for this. Let me explain. We title all of our blogs with “Alaska Destination Wedding” for various behind the scene reasons. During this particular wedding though, Shannon (the photographer) along with the bride & groom traveled all around south-central Alaska, exploring some of the most remote and beautiful places in our country.

The couple with 15 of their closest friends and family all traveled up from West Virginia earlier this summer for the small elopement. They had the wedding ceremony in a quaint meadow in Girdwood, Alaska, surrounded by the gorgeous Chugach Mountains. Following the ceremony and family portraits, Leela, Aaron, and Shannon hopped in their cars and headed south. Whenever they found a spectacular view, they would stop, take photos, and enjoy their special time as newlyweds.

What is one thing vital to have in order to enjoy an adventure elopement in Alaska? …. Time. If you give us time on your wedding day, we can take you to some of the coolest places and actually enjoy them. We never want to rush you on your special day. We want your wedding day to be the start of an adventure of a lifetime!
