Have you ever wondered when fall is in Alaska? Is it October like most of the places in the United States? Well, believe it or not, the peak of fall when the colors are the most vibrant actually happens only for two weeks in Alaska. Typically September 8th through September 22nd are the best dates to have an epic Alaska Fall wedding.

Because of our higher latitude it happens much earlier and quicker than in the lower 48. So, if you’re interested in having the fall colors as a backdrop to your wedding I would shoot for sometime in the middle of Septermber.

This is what Therese and Beau did! They got married at the peak of the color change on September 15th. We flew out of the Girdwood airport with Alpine Air Helicopters. We spent several hours exploring the mountain ridges covered in bright oranges, yellows, and reds! If you don’t believe us, check the images below. 🙂
