Sierra and Kristopher Elope to the Alaskan Mountains via helicopter and hiking

When Sierra and Kristopher reached out about eloping in the Alaskan mountains, we instantly all knew it would be a great fit! Our conversation included flying ideas, wedding plans, and of course Alaska! I knew we would have a lot of fun together on their wedding day!

In September, we met at the Knik River Lodge, where we flew with Alpha Aviation, and headed into the Chugach Mountains.

For their wedding ceremony, we landed on the Knik Glacier next to one of the largest pools we found all summer. This spot near a giant icefall is one of our all-time favorites! For one, it’s typically less windy here, but mainly we love it because it portrays the dramatic blue color of the glaciers.

After the marriage ceremony, we flew up high to another spot 3,000 feet up on the ridge of a mountain! Most people love our glacier photos, but I truly love showing couples the expansive views of Alaska. It is unremarkable!

After the helicopter flight, we hopped in our cars to drive to Hatcher Pass. I don’t know where to begin to describe the incredible sunlight we were given on this particular evening! Check out the photos below to see it!
