–Please note, during the months of May-October, smaller sessions may be scheduled the morning of a wedding day with a late start time, but we are generally not available in the afternoons or early evenings. Also, depending on day and location, minimum booked hours or a travel fee may apply. We only schedule sessions of 1-4 hours 1-2 weeks in advance of the intended date. This is to allow us to maintain an open schedule for folks who wish to book us for our full wedding packages. Any smaller sessions will be added as time allows with our photographer schedules. During winter, we can often schedule things a bit further in advance but during the months of May-October we are unable to accommodate smaller bookings greater than 1-2 weeks in advance. If you would like to book a longer session of 5 or more hours, we can do that now!
Extra Time: Additional coverage can be added to those packages not including all day coverage.
Package/Photographer Notes: When you are ready to save the date, we will provide a list of available photographers for you to choose from. We don’t randomly assign your photographer. Not all packages are available for all dates, for all photographers. For example, if we have two photographers available, and one lives in Girdwood, and one in Wasilla, the Girdwood photographer may not be available for our smallest package at a venue that requires 6 hours of roundtrip driving to a place like Talkeetna. The photographer who lives in Wasilla might be available for that package, however. Or if you choose an all-day coverage package, both could be available. A travel fee may be added in some cases, location/photographer/package dependent. See travel notes below.
Travel: We love traveling around Alaska! Girdwood, Moose Pass, Seward, Homer, Talkeetna, etc. We like photographing outside Anchorage! We often shoot in Fairbanks, and Southeast Alaska so don’t hesitate to ask. We will make it as simple and cost effective for you as possible to reach fly-in locations such as Fairbanks, Juneau, Sitka, Wrangell, Skagway, Kodiak etc. Generally a travel fee may apply if there is more than 3 hours of roundtrip driving required, or the total drive time exceeds photography time. However, date, location, and photographer availability may also be factors. For example, If we are in Juneau for 2 or 3 weddings in a row, we will split the airplane ticket cost 2-3 ways so everyone benefits. Or if we had two Homer weddings back to back, we could split a hotel room between two clients.
Helicopter/Airplane Travel Expenses: Helicopter or airplane travel to lakes, glaciers and and remote sites is not included in the photography package price. We maintain good relationships with a variety of air taxi services and can help make arrangements for you to reach areas beyond the road system.
Online Photo Galleries: We are now posting every image online for your friend’s and family’s enjoyment at no extra cost. This is especially helpful for family and friends who might not see your photos any other way!
Albums:
Albums are a great add-on to any wedding package, and we have built in a discounted rate for anyone who adds the album while saving the date with us. See the FAQ page or bottom of the pricing page for more information regarding Zookbinders albums.
