Rebecca and Tiffani came up from Vermont and wanted something a little different. Between Emily from Wild Love Alaska and our contacts in Juneau, we put together something pretty awesome and unique. No helicopters or other tourists or family or friends, just the two of them, a photographer and his buddy, and Emily the officiant and coordinator. We all took off from shore in Kayaks and made our way across Mendenhall Lake, landing on a sandy beach at the toe of the glacier. After a quick river crossing (Joe Piggy-backed the brides), we climbed the glacier and had a beautiful ceremony under a light drizzle. That was followed by more photos, exploration on land and lake via kayak, and a return back to the cars. We had a ton of fun doing this and would love to do it again!
